Review of Canon PowerShot A590 Camera
Canon has come out with another point-and-shoot camera in the form of the Canon PowerShot A590 IS. This 8-megapixel camera has image stability, a 4x wide angle optical zoom lens, full manual control and many other great features. Best of all, it's not as expensive as some digital cameras, but still gives great value for your money.
At first glance, the Canon PowerShot A590 IS can look bulky and uncomfortable to the hand, but it is indeed very compact. AA battery compartment gives users a good grip and a thumb rest is conveniently located and the upper right corner of the back of the camera. This camera can also be in purses and even pockets, so it can be taken anywhere and everywhere. The smooth and round body A590 also adds a pleasant, when held in hand. Of course, if this camera provides excellent grip a wrist strap is always a good idea.
Like most additions to the Canon PowerShot series, AF90 IS features a user-friendly and no-nonsense interface. New users can easily navigate Navigating the menu, and if you have had experience in handling a digital camera by Canon before, the process of browsing interface to be a walk in the park. For intermediate photographers A590 have different functions and options that you tweaked to get the desired effect and adjust the shot. For beginners there is a condition that allows them to just point on the subject and take pictures while the camera makes adjustments on his own. This condition is characterized by a camera outline in red with a heart inside.
Canon PowerShot A590 IS has many shooting modes. Now you might be confused by the difference between Easy Mode and Auto Mode. Easy Mode is equivalent to Auto Mode in the sense that both lets the camera do Total tweaking and changing the setting while the user just clicks away. Difference is that in Easy Mode all is left of the camera to determine, except of course flash. There is also a continuous shooting for moving subjects. According to Canon, the camera captures action at 1.4 frames per second, hardly enough to get a clear picture of an object moving at high speed, but good enough to capture the moderate pace of activity.
One gripe many users have about the A590 digital camera is the memory card that comes with the unit. The starter card only has one memory at a pathetic 32 MB which can hold around 20 photos. Naturally, the memory can be expanded so that it would be a wise idea to buy a 1 GB memory card instead of owning more than 200 large pictures in your digital camera. Another problem with the A590 is the basic video display. Sure, it has this feature, but it is really not that impressive, and you'll rarely use it, if ever at all. It's not bad, it's just not great.
