How should I carry my dSLR while sightseeing in NYC?
I already have a Lowepro sling bag that's pretty good for easy access and is comfortable. But it's bulky for just storing one camera.
Also, I'm going to be wearing a messenger-strap style purse.
I don't want to have to open up my backpack every time I want to take a shot, but I don't want to be susceptible to bumping my camera into things or getting tired with it around my neck.
So what do you do for day treks?
I don't want to suggest going out and getting a smaller bag, but it might be a good idea. It'll be low-profile but still accessible to you. In NYC, I initially went out with a small Lowepro bag, but in some places began feeling distinctly uncomfortable carrying a SLR around; eventually I slung my purse (also a long, messenger-style strap) over the same shoulder to conceal it.
Just a thought.
