Do you need to buy a memory card with a D camera?

I want to buy my first digital camera, but the seller was trying to get me to buy everything (case, camera dock / printer, memory card). The camera I would get was a Kodak, it has 32 MB of internal memory, 6.1 mp. Must I buy a memory card or how many images can I take to the internal memory is maxed? If I need a memory stick what a good size. I have children and have a tendency to go PIC CRAZY! lol

First is how to use the pictures? If you are going to print posters, 6MP is great. If you print 4×6 photos or just share them on your computer, do not waste your money on a 6MP camera. You will be fine with less than 3 megapixels – with that you can still print a very nice 8×10 photo. If you go with this camera, you do not always do 6MP images. You just change the default settings on the camera to a "lower quality" (which only means smaller size images). Ask the seller or check your owners manual for instructions. The reviewer who shared the number of megapixels in the number of megabytes (for a total of 5 photos) was wrong. See the link below details, but it's actually about 9-10 photos in full size 6MP. That said, you should buy a memory card for the camera. Prices have gone down (I remember buying a 128MP SD card for $ 80 only four years ago, and now you can pick them up for ten dollars or less). Look for sales and discounts – if you have a local Staples, you can get 1G SD or CompactFlash cards this week for $ 25 after rebate. As far as camera dock and printer – it really depends on your preference. If you have a good printer already, and a computer is reasonable to date (and you're comfortable working with), then use the money on a camera and not on a printer and docking station. That just my personal opinion, however. If you are more comfortable with a docking station, then go for it. Check out other web site for reviews, both by site and by users of many digital cameras.
